Virgin garden untouched by man,
mystery of God's mighty plan.
Locked and sealed the gates are barred,
until He comes with nail prints scarred.
The gates fly open at His touch,
no other hand can do this much.
The garden waits on Him alone,
until He comes to love His own.
Song of Songs 4:12 begins a description of the bride as a locked garden. This means that she does not give her
love or favors to anyone else but Him. Her heart is fixed upon Him alone. This is a marvelous mystery that is meant
to be revealed to all of those who desire to know Him.
It is because of all this metaphoric garden stands for that He was willing to die. He did this to redeem us from
our wicked ways that He might have intimate fellowship with us eternally.
